5 Easy Ways to Stay Fit and Energized
Many of you folks out there are involved in some kind of traveling. Some light, some heavy duty. Even though it can be a lot of fun, the unusual schedules, new surroundings and different foods can take a toll. So whether you’re on the road for business or pleasure, here are 5 easy ways to stay fit and energized.
1. Walk for a while
No matter where you are, it’s always possible to squeeze in at least 30 minutes on foot. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Park away from the front door. Walk indoors as well as outdoors.
2. Eat right
When eating out order what you want. Less salt, less sugar, less fat. Pack healthy snacks to take with you. Request substitutes, for instance salad instead of fries when eating out.
3. Be Flexible
If where you are has no fitness center, check to see if there is some kind of offering or promotion from a nearby gym. A simple workout indoors can be enough to get your blood pumping.
4. Bring Equipment
Jump ropes and resistance bands are versatile, portable and affordable–and ideal for all fitness levels. Or take a swim, bike or even dance.
5. Rest Well
Being away from home can be exciting, stressful or both. Lack of sleep can cause fatigue, headaches, irritability. Be sure to set time to recharge your batteries. And have a great time.
